Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain extension is the sole TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other designations people are famous by. At the beginning, solely third-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to buy john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Existing third-level domains remained operational.

Through our firm, you can register your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will be able to correct the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer code from the current registrar company and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific restrictions on who can obtain a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.
